The Quality Standard according to Franek Adamczak

19 December 2017 - The Quality Standard is the Van de Lande slogan. But what does it mean? That is why we ask our employees to talk about it in our newsletter. This time: Franek Adamczak (Injection moulding specialist).

Franek is 34 years old and came to VDL through his brother-in-law, who also works at VDL. "I was looking for a new challenge", he says, and he has gotten that opportunity at Van de Lande. I was hired in 2007 as an injection moulding trainee and from the very start I was given the opportunities to develop myself further. In the first years I obtained my injection moulding diplomas 1, 2 and 3 and finally, the diploma in trial moulding.

From prototype injection moulds to creating instructions
For the development of the PE100 program, Franek is using the his experience as well as the training courses he took in recent years. "It's great being part of a project team responsible for a new product line. The first products are being sold now and we will see a growth in sales. Now I am creating product step-by-step instructions for the procedure of the creation process with the help of visual aids and illustrations. Therefore I know that the product I am making today, will still be made in the same fashion and will also comply with the same requirements over ten years from now.


The Quality Standard
Quality is very important for Franek. In creating a beautiful product that complies with strict quality requirements is a challenge in itself and Franek has set the bar for himself high in doing so.  "This applies to everything I do and I see that Van de Lande continuously does this as well. Of course the injection moulder is very important, but the environment in which you work and the machines you use to perform your work are just as important. Investments are made continuously in these aspects and I think even after ten years, I will have a fantastic job. One in which I can also continue to develop and grow my qualities and talents."
